FEMA Updates NFIP With Increased Premiums in Coastal Areas. On April 2, 2021, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced increases in the National Flood Insurance Program premiums in flood prone areas. Hartford Rejects Chubb Buyout Offer. On March 18, 2021, Hartford rejected a $23.24 billion takeover offer from Chubb Ltd. Chubb had made the offer of $65 per share, a premium of about 13% to Hartford’s closing stock price a day earlier. Travelers Risk Index Reveals Dangerous Driving Behaviors. On March 31, 2021, The Travelers Companies, Inc. announced the results of the 2021 Travelers Risk Index on distracted driving.
